About Me

I'm Felix, a writer, editor, and actor residing in Melbourne, Australia. I have over six years' experience as a professional editor, having worked with numerous clients and agencies around the world, including academic researchers, online education platforms, game developers, and media enterprises.

I hold a PhD in Comparative Literature and am a Professional Member of the Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd) in Australia. I also write and publish my own prose and poetry, and I am fluent in several languages, including English, German, and Italian.

What Is Editing?

Editing includes all aspects of changing a written text to ensure that it reaches the highest possible standards before going to publication.

This ranges from structural editing, which addresses macro-level elements such as the overall structure of a work, its genre, and its general content, to copyediting, where the editor works on things like tone, consistency, and accuracy, through to proofreading, the final quality check where any remaining errors are tracked down and removed.
